The Process
Every garden design is unique and will be specific to your requirements - but generally speaking we try and keep it along the lines of:
Initial Consultation
We come and visit you and normally over a cup of tea get to know your likes, dislikes, dreams and aspirations for your perfect outdoor space. We familiarize ourselves with your existing garden and form the basis upon which the design proposals are made. Formally known as the client brief. We will also discuss how to maximise your budget and the approximate time scales from start to finish.
Site survey
If you wish to proceed and use Eden Exteriors to create your perfect outdoor space, the next step in the process is the site survey. Before we embark on the design work, an accurate and detailed survey of your house and garden is undertaken. To achieve optimal planting success we also do a soil analysis at this stage.
Concept proposals
Here ideas will be presented to you based on the ‘client brief’ in a series of hand-drawn sketches, mood boards and if required CAD and 3D modeling.
Final masterplan
Once you are happy with the proposals we finely tune and develop these into technical scale drawing and construction detail plans that a contractor will work from. They can also serve as planning application documents if required.
Plant plan
We also produce a detailed plant plan showing quantities, sizes and scheduling to facilitate ordering.
The build
We enjoy exceptional quality and craftsmanship and can recommend and introduce you to contractors who share our vision and attention to detail, or you may have someone in mind already. The detailed specification will allow them to tender on a like for like basis. Once you have chosen the contractor we will work closely with them ensuring your dream garden is achieved and that every penny of the budget is well spent.
Maintain
Once the build has been completed and the planting beds prepared, we will source, supply and plant out the scheme. We also offer a maintenance service plan depending on your needs, this could be once a week, once a month, or just before a special occasion or event to ensure your perfect outdoor space is looking it’s best.
